Peter’s Pantry: One of our priorities is Peter’s Pantry where we provide food to over 400 families in Perth Amboy. Our pantry is open twice a week and is supported by our donations from out parish and food and financial assistance from local merchants, REPLENISH of Middlesex County, the food bank in Hillside, and other organizations. Our Pantry is part of the We Care Coalition of Food Pantries in Perth Amboy who work together to fight hunger. The pantry is open Thursdays from 10 am - 12 noon. Our major food delivery happens on the last Saturday of the month at 8 am. Please call the church office, if you would like to volunteer at one of theses times

Peter’s Garden: Our community garden provides fresh produce during the summer months and is cared for by parishoners and volunteers from the community. Working in the garden is seasonal. Please call Betty Crews at 848-203-4642 if you are interested in working on the garden.

Thanksgiving Meals: Every Thanksgiving, we provide a thanksgiving meal (turkey, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, and bread) for families who use our pantry with four or more members.

The Giving Tree: Names of children whose families use the pantry are hung on the tree and parishioners pick two or more and buy gifts for the children who would otherwise have few or no gifts at Christmas.

Hunger Walk: For three years we have had a hunger walk with the other pantries in Perth Amboy who are part of the We Care Coalition of Food Pantries. This walk raises awareness and money for the hunger problem in our city.

In 2010, The Episcopal Church Executive Council recognized St. Peter’s as a Jubilee Ministry Center.
